Kerrith Retreat is a home established by Mr. and Mrs. Andre and Ans, situated near Muldersvlei/Franshoek. This couple saw the need for housing. There is currently 65 patients housed at Kerrith, from various backgrounds. Most of the people placed here will never live a normal social life, and are placed on high dosages of medication. Prescribed by Stikland Hospital, assigned to treat persons who suffer from all forms of mentally degenerative deficiencies, to keep them in a stable state.
Kerrith Retreat needs urgent repair to the structure and attention needed to our buildings, kitchen and garden. Sing For Africa has opened a fuel account to assist with the transporting costs of taking patients on a daily basis in and out to stikland Hospital to pick up medicine.
Sing For Africa also holds regular fundraising events to support this initiative.
