The aim of all the Sing for Africa fundraising projects is to build and develop Sing For Africa Safe Havens where we could care for Orphaned Children. But for the period 2007 – 2008 Sing for Africa will focus on fundraising to enable the organisation to develop there first Child Heaven.
For the period 2007 – 2008 Sing for Africa will be involved and assist existing Childcare projects as follow:
The Pretoria Evangelism Nurture in Pretoria.
PEN is a church-based organisation and has been working in the inner-city of Pretoria for fourteen years. They dream of and work towards a God loving community, that lives in the city and cares for one another by sharing wisdom, values and resources. Their focus is the inner-city of Tshwane (Pretoria), where they minister to different disadvantaged communities but they invite people of all socio-economic backgrounds to be part of the community they believe God envisaged for our city. Sing for Africa participated in their annual Red Festival on 25 May 2007 and sponsored the sound for the event. Sing for Africa is very excited to assist with future projects to the advantage of this wonderful organisation.
Emmanuel’s Haven, caring for abused children in Cape Town.
Mr. and Mrs. Strangman are the “parents” to 7 children. They take care of them and they need the community’s help in doing so. They only want to give these kids what they deserve, tender love and care. Immanuel’s Haven needs your help in order for them to accommodate 50 children. All contributions and manpower is a necessity for Immanuel’s Haven to reach it’s full potential in doing God’s work. Sing for Africa got involved and are helping them in all possible way’s to raise funds for their basic needs. Many events have been planned for this year. Please check the Sing for Africa homepage for upcoming events which will need your support.
House Jerome – Place of safety for abused and neglected children.
House Jerome is not an ordinary day care centre or orphan itch. It’s a place of safety for abandoned babies/, homeless children and children who have been removed from difficult circumstances for their own safety and survival. These children get a second chance in life under the loving and watchful eyes of Bazil and Delia Fernie. There home has been opened to traumatised children 24 hours per day for past twenty years. The lack of finances to support the family in there day to day expenses poses a problem to their survival. House Jerome currently accommodate 10 children aging one to 16 years. It is Sing for Africa’s goal to assist this family with their crucial needs and we need your help.
The International Organisation of the Sword of Spirit.
Feeding Projects.
SFA has started their own street child feeding project in Cape Town. The SFA Cape Town Office manage and sponsor the project from their own resources. They feed the children every Tuesday evening. After the welcome meal they lend a compassionate ear and a shoulder to cry on. Birthdays are celebrated with chocolate cake and special red coldrink. Serious medical needs have also been dealt with at these meetings. Every Tuesday night ends with a prayer where everybody stand in a huge circle and thank God for the these wonderful people. This is an unbelievable experience when you talk to people who appreciates everything even your interest and friendliness. SFA needs the communities support in every way possible. Please get involved and help us make a difference.
