5th of April 2008, Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarket Open day |

|
One of Sing For Africa’s most important tasks and an integral part of who we are is our artists who perform at concerts arranged by ourselves or to the venues we are invited to. The very loyal team of singers our Cape Town branch as slowly gathered together, perform for very little or no remuneration at all at our concerts as their contribution to maximize the funds generated for our childcare projects, their contribution of their time and talent forms what we stand for, hence the name “Sing For Africa”. Over the last year Sing For Africa has performed and raised funds at numerous venues and events, we have performed in the open at Supermarkets, namely; Hypermarket Pick’nPay who has supported us immensely over the last year and a half, events held at sponsored halls like Sun-Mari in Brackenfell, Bloemendal Restaurant in Durbanville, Buren High School, Brooklyn, Bottelary Primary, with our events we walk very closely with the S.A.P.S encouraging alcohol, drug and sexual abuse, informing children and parents of the dangers and symptoms of children and adults who suffer from the abuse of illegal substance use. With the law enforcement officers at our side we offer information, education and guidance on how to and where to go for rehabilitation of the above mentioned and try to implement community upliftment projects in troubled areas. Our water line has been well supported by many individuals and companies including the invitation to supply our still and sparkling water at the Africa Aerospace and Defense show held in Cape Town, and to freely promote our flavored water switch an allocated and sponsored area by the AAD. We also had smaller events for example, bring joy to Old age homes, or less fortunate institutes for disabled persons, as well as church tea’s and luncheons for the members. |
