ADOPT A CHILD PROJECT

Adopt a child program Happy Valley
All of us either have children or know someone who has. Needless to say, you will then definitely realise the huge costs involved in raising a child. Our community at Happy Valley has the same challenges they face in raising their children. Even though they do not have the same perception to the cost of living as many of us have, they are more interested in the cost of survival!

Therefore, the basic privileges that many other communities take for granted and do not even take into consideration, these people have the critical circumstances they face on issues such as healthcare and education for their children. At Aphilayo Amanzi, our Grade R school in Happy Valley, Sing For Africa strives in fulfilling the basic needs of these pre-schoolers by supplying them with a high quality of education, healthcare issues, feeding, clothing and nurturing in a society where the parents, often single parent or foster family do not have the means to.

Sing For Africa is taking the responsibility to try and meet these ever increasing needs on a daily basis, but we are desperate for funds. We have large financial responsibilities to ensure the environment that we have created can be sustained. This is where we invite you, your family, your church, your cell-group or your business to invest into our ‘Adop-a-child’ program. Coupled with this, we invite you to also consider the ‘Adopt-a-teacher’ program as well as ‘Adopt-the-class’ program, as explained below.

 ‘Adopt-a-child’  Program

On this page, you will see the faces of the children at Aphilayo Amanzi Educare with a brief description of the name, age and background of the child. By nominating a child of your choice, you could sponsor the child on a monthly basis by funding anything from schoolfees, clothing, food, educational needs and books.

 ‘Adopt-a-teacher’ Program

Our Teachers at the school are paid a small salary and the rest is done on a “for the love of the cause” basis by these gems of individuals. We invite anyone to please support them in helping us to afford them a larger remuneration to thank them for their selflessness.

 ‘Adopt-the-class’ Program

Don’t worry, you do not have to adopt the whole class, this program is an invitation to spoil the class with once-off donations, such as a day at the Aquarium, a day on top of Table Mountain, a day at the Museum, a lunch party at the closest Spur/ MacDonald’s/ Family Restaurant of your choice – even your own restaurant will do just fine!

Please fill in your details as to how you want to support any of these initiatives, by going to our “contact us” page. One of our friendly staff will contact you soon to go through the salient details with you. To set your mind at ease, this effort is not seen as a hand-out, but rather seen as a helping hand. Your hand/s will make a difference more than you could imagine. May God bless you.
